contending with a maturing technology platform they feared was

incubate and harness new drug discovery technologies. Working
with a visionary executive within this firm, Siena Partners
helped define and design an “Innovation Center” with the goals
of inventing next-generation technology capabilities, launching
new spinoffs, attracting and retaining top scientists, and
fostering a continued spirit of innovation within the company.
Under this model, the company was able to invest in and explore
new technologies without diverting focus from their core
business and operations. The Innovation Center spawned numerous
platform-expanding technologies, fueling the productivity of the
