“Charting the Course”
A leading biopharmaceutical company was preparing to enter the
oncology market with a novel therapeutic, setting the foundation
to build a new franchise. The business unit leader launched a
broad-reaching strategic planning initiative to define the
vision and set the strategic priorities for the Oncology group.
Siena Partners conducted analyses to prioritize market
opportunities within this complex landscape, help focus the
portfolio, and critically assess internal positioning. We
facilitated the strategic planning effort, including a series of
offsite planning retreats with the cross-functional team, to
define and gain alignment to the vision, strategic imperatives,
and five-year plans. The Oncology franchise was successfully
launched, becoming a cornerstone of the business and a model for
other business units in the organization.
